Where to take instagram photos in Toulouse ?

Toulouse is a big city with a lot of great places to visit!

Zoom on these little treasures….

The Capitole square

When we think about Toulouse, we obviously think about its famous place du Capitole. It’s always this picture that we see on the web, in the magazines, in the newspapers. At the same time, it’s an impressive square, don’t you think? This place can receive 12 000 people, and has been used for big meetings like the crowning of the Stade Toulousain but also for concerts.

The Saint-Sernin Basilica

Basilicas are all about art. This one was built in the 4th century and has been classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO since 1998. It is also possible to go for a walk around it, just to admire its beauty from all perspectives!

We find next to it the feet of Saint-Christophe which exceed one of the columns of the basilica. Apparently, when you touch them, it brings luck so don’t forget to make a wish!

On the roof of Galeries Lafayette

Go to the top floor of Galeries Lafayette for a nice view on the Toulouse rooftops! All the inhabitants of Toulouse know this spot: the perfect place to have a drink with a great view of the pink city. On the left side, you’ll find the Saint-Etienne cathedral, on the right side and in front of the Capitole dungeon and the Jacobins bell tower. Looking away, you can even see the dome of La Grave!

Place Saint Pierre

The favorite place of the students! If you get closer to the steps, you will be able to see the Garonne river but especially the dome of La Grave hospital, the most photographed monument in Toulouse. It is distinctive with its green roof. In order to see it more closely, don’t hesitate to come closer by passing by the Saint Pierre bridge! I advise you to go there at the end of the day, the pictures during the sunset are amazing!
