This is the good news of the week, shops will be able to reopen from Saturday 28th November. But the virus is still there, so let’s continue to protect ourselves, and don’t give in to our demons of wanting to get out at all costs ! And for that, the impulse of innovation and solidarity already present at the first confinement has taken off. Let’s look at the different solutions found to help our friends in the trade.
Yes then, the name of this initiative must resonate with you ! Indeed, it was obviously chosen to sound like amazon, the American e-commerce giant. Following the reconfinement, the decision to close so-called “non-essential” shops was strongly contested because it favoured shopping on this platform.
Also to remedy this, the Occitania region has created the platform “Dans ma Zone” (‘In my area”), where are listed by category : craftsmen, care and beauty services, shopkeepers and industries from Occitania. Dans ma zone offers craftsmen, manufacturers and traders the opportunity to create their space free of charge, to promote their know-how by becoming visible to the region’s consumers.
On each search you can refine by :
- Raw material
- Geographical area
- Distribution service (delivery, click ‘n collect)
- Service option (requiring quotation, consulting)
Based on the same concept as Dans ma Zone, the Occitan region has also developed a platform where producers, food shops and restaurateurs – caterers from Occitania can be contacted. This initiative is a continuation of the “solidarity & food” project, whose interest is to consume locally and responsibly from local producers.
Refine your search with the map or the list of subscribers and discover the players in the food industry around you.
For each producer, food retailer and restaurant-caterer, a presentation sheet is revealed to the consumer. It indicates the core business, whether the business offers home delivery or click n’ collect. Today, more than 5,000 producers, restaurateurs and food shops are referenced in this document.
This application has been developed to make access to Toulouse’s shops easier, more modern and more connected. Available to the public on 1 December, it will allow retailers in the Sicoval zone to share their good deals, events and products. All they need to do is register and they will be able to take part in the Toulouse marketplace.
In addition, if a shopkeeper does not have an e-commerce, the ToutToulouse initiative has signed a partnership with Jeboostemaboite.com, an Albigensian SME. For the first 400 registered in the digitisation programme of their point of sale (stock, checkout, and merchant site), the subscription is offered for one year and their e-commerce is directly linked to the Toulouse marketplace.
Far from being outdated with the reopening of non-essential shops, this application has also been designed for long-term use with the itinerary function. Indeed, this will allow users from Toulouse, visitors or tourists to define their itinerary in advance in the Pink City : points of interest, places to visit and shops to see !
