Toulouse got its “3 flowers” certification label , from the “Ville et Villages Fleuris” competition, with its 13 squares and 161 parks and gardens with more than 160,000 trees.

Several gardens also have the “Jardin remarquable de France” certification label as well, such as the Japanese Garden and the Royal Garden, thanks to its many tree species.

Located near the Compans Caffarelli metro station, line B, the Japanese Garden is a peaceful haven for people who like to walk in a zen atmosphere. Created by Pierre Baudis, this garden is an authentic reproduction of a traditional Kyoto garden between the 14th and 16th centuries.

Toulouse offers the opportunity to visit 3 historical gardens, spread over 7 hectares, connected by footbridges, near the François Verdier or the Palais de justice metro stations, line B. The Grand Rond, Royal and Des Plantes gardens offer you to discover large green spaces, fountains, a carousel, a music stand and many other surprises.
It is possible to relax on the banks of the Garonne in the Raymond VI Garden and the Prairie des Filtres. Next to the museum of modern art, The Abattoirs, the Raymond VI garden overlooks the Garonne and the Saint Pierre bridge.
A 2 long metres footbridge above the river allows you to enjoy the wonderful sunset in summer. As for the Prairies des filtres, a park has a view of Pont Neuf and the Tounis wharf, where in summer time you can find “La guinguette”(open-air bar).
This park is also a festive place where concerts, The National Holiday, festivals, events are celebrated, like in 2018 the Word Cup.

For more change of scenery, you can visit the Georges Labit Museum Garden, wonderful palm trees and bamboos are there for you. Many plans coming from Australia or New Zealand have been planted in harmony with the Moorish architectural of the villa.
For those who are passionate about gardening, The Maourine Park is specially dedicated to you. Located in Borderouge, this garden has more than 700 varieties of plants from the 5 continents. Spreading over 3 hectares, you can discover a reed bed, a vegetable garden and many aromatic plants.
